MISSIONS

At Pursuit Church, we embrace the missionary call of Jesus when He told His followers to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. Making disciples includes the personal witness and lifestyle of individual Christians, as well as the work of the body of Christ to take the gospel to all people – near and far. Locally, we put this into practice as we serve our community through ministry and mission projects which show the love of Christ and carry His gospel to the lost.

Internationally, we are involved in an ongoing work in the Dominican Republic, which began in the province of Santiago Rodriguez, mostly centering the focus of our work in the province’s capital city of Sabaneta. Now, our work is expanding to many different provinces and cities to the glory of God the Father. Pursuit Church has sent many mission teams over the past few years to share the gospel and disciple believers. We are praying and going – trusting God to build a strong foundation for His life-changing salvation to spread throughout the country, and for His glory to be known by all those who live there. In March 2017, Pursuit commissioned and sent our first career missionary. After a year of language school in Costa Rica, Megan Mowdy is now living and serving full time in the Dominican Republic on the outskirts of the city of Esperanza, in a little sector called Maizal. You can follow Megan at meganinthedominican.org

And, we are praying for missionaries Jay and Courtney Nelson who began a full-time ministry in Sabaneta in January 2016. Learn more about Jay and Courtney at sabanetamissions.org

We also support the global outreach of Harvest Missions. Founders Steve and Connie Hutto have strong ties to Pursuit Church, and their missions organization has helped spread the gospel in Honduras and India for many years. For more information, please visit www.harvestmissions.org
