JIMMY WILLIAMS
LEAD PASTOR
Jimmy is passionate about teaching God's Word and leading people to experience God in authentic, life-changing ways. Since the beginning of Pursuit Church in 2010, he has led church members to discover the joy of complete surrender to God and the victory of living a Holy Spirit-filled life. After years of bivocational pastoral ministry, Jimmy recently retired from teaching school and is enjoying having more time to invest in ministry. He and his wife Kay have two grown sons.
JAMEY BUSH
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Jamey - an office manager by day, and a goofball at heart. After serving in youth ministry for many years, he transitioned to the role of pastoral ministry in January 2023. Jamey preaches on a regular basis at Pursuit, and his messages are always powerful and practical. He has a heart for men's ministry and for helping people follow Jesus in the real world - not just at church. He and his wife, April, have two grown daughters who love to watch Southern Miss sports with their dad.
TWYLA HURST
WORSHIP LEADER
Twyla is a skilled musician with a gift for teaching, and leads Pursuit Church in worship each Sunday. She longs to see people experience God Spirit-to-spirit, and sees music as a God-given tool to facilitate this encounter. “As people give offerings of worship and praise, God will be true to His Word and welcome us in to the Holy of Holies, where eternal things are accomplished.” Twyla and her husband Jody have two grown sons.
DYLAN MILES
YOUTH MINISTER
Dylan joined the staff of Pursuit Church in the summer of 2022 as Youth Assistant, and was named Youth Minister at the beginning of 2023. He is focused on helping our teens build a solid biblical foundation for their lives, guiding them to grow into servant leaders in the church, and making sure they have fun while pursuing those priorities. Dylan also serves on the Pursuit Worship Team as a vocalist and guitarist. He is married to Kelsey, and they have three awesome daughters.
APRIL BUSH
CHILDREN'S MINISTER
April oversees the Children's Ministry at Pursuit and coordinates the parents and volunteers that help with teaching, crafts, and games. She shares her skill and creativity as an artist with the kids in a way that brings the Bible to life for them. April's desire for kids to experience God at a young age is contagious. She's married to Jamey, and a fantastic mom to two daughters.
KELSEY MILES
CHILDREN'S MINISTER
Kelsey works alongside April in Pursuit Children's Ministries. She joined our church staff in the summer of 2022 after she and Dylan moved back to Mississippi from Texas. With a strong call from God upon her life, she invests in the youngest members of the Pursuit family, helping them know the certainty of God's love for them and His greatness as the Creator and Redeemer of the world. Kelsey also serves as a vocalist on the Pursuit Worship team from time to time. Mom of three active little girls, part-time employee at a local Christian daycare, and CEO of a backyard chicken farm, there is never a dull moment for Kelsey - just the way she likes it!
LAUREN STEPHENS
LIFE CARE MINISTER
Since joining the Pursuit Church staff in the summer of 2022, Lauren leads by guiding, encouraging, and supporting others through the ups and downs of their journey with Christ. She helps coordinate our ladies ministries, and she is always ready to lend a listening ear or help call on the name of the Lord for strength and rescue. By day, Lauren is a social worker who serves in a Meridian-area counseling ministry.
